Industries / Construction and trades

From finished job to sent invoice, without the manual hours

Trades and construction groups lose time between the job and the invoice: on-account billing, change orders, supplier invoices checked against agreed prices, and month-end close across acquired entities. Our construction AI consulting starts there.

Typical workflows

Job-to-invoice and on-account billing

Collect hours, materials and extra work from the job, check them against the order or contract, and prepare the invoice, including on-account invoices from the agreed schedule, for a person to approve.

Supplier invoice capture and price control

Read supplier invoices, check the lines against agreed prices and flag the ones that do not match. Your team handles the exceptions.

Intercompany close across entities after acquisitions

Match intercompany balances between entities that run different systems, and list what is open before the close.

Recommended path

  1. Briefing

A short session for the owners and finance lead on where AI fits a group built by acquisition, and where it does not.

  2. Sprint

We look at job-to-invoice and supplier invoices across your entities and rank the workflows worth piloting.

  3. Roadmap & Governance

A sequenced plan across entities, with rules for who approves what and how results are checked against the ledger.

  4. Pilot Build

One workflow, such as supplier price control, built and run in shadow mode next to the current process before it goes live.

  5. Retainer

Ongoing support as more entities and workflows are added, and as the first pilot is monitored.

Questions and answers

Does this work if our entities run different systems?

Yes, that is the usual case in a group built by acquisition. The Sprint maps what each entity runs and which workflows can be handled across them.

Who approves the invoices?

Your people do. A Pilot Build runs in shadow mode first, alongside the current process, and goes live with a person approving each result.

We are a trades group, not a large contractor. Is this relevant?

It can be. Our focus is companies and firms with 200 to 2,000 staff across Europe. That includes installation, trades and multi-entity groups.

Where do we start?

Usually with a Briefing, then a Sprint. The Sprint tells you whether a pilot is justified before you commit to building anything.

Start with 30 minutes.
